I absentmindedly flipped through the pages of the current issue of the Saveur magazine in my hands and stopped at page 60. When I’d finished reading Annia Ciezadlo’s article: ‘They Remember Home’, about a group of Iraqi refugees now living in Lebanon who gather daily for an evening meal that “keeps them whole, keeps their scattered world intact,” my eyes were filled with tears that blurred the pages.
