Sometimes the best desserts are the simplest.  Just a few ingredients, no fancy technique, just really good, simple flavor.  And what better way to show off the apples that will be ubiquitous at the farmers’ market for the next six months?  They’re fresh, delicious, and so easy to cook with.  Just slice, bake, and taste (I’m actually not even kidding — the recipe *is* that easy)!
