I have experimented with several types of
pesto. A few years ago, I hadn’t tasted it. Now, it features quite regularly on our menu. While at one time I thought of it as a mere pasta sauce, I now use it as a salad dressing, as a spread for garlic toast, as a dip. What I love about
pesto is how the flavour changes with each ingredient. This
walnut pesto is a favourite with small bites of garlic bread.
1 cup
Basil Leaves
1/3 cup Walnuts, toasted
4-5 pods Garlic
5 tbsp Olive Oil
