Caesar’s mushroom (Amanita caesarea) is a commonly found edible mushroom in Greece. In Greek it is called Caesar’s egg, because when the mushroom is very young it looks like a hard boiled egg!  White on the outside and inside the orange caped mushroom grows, until it shoots out of the “egg”.
