I’m nuts about nuts. It’s healthy, it’s delicious and you can do basically everything and cook any dish with it. Most people think that it is high in fat and calories. What they don’t know is that nuts are packed with “good” fats, protein and lots of vitamins and minerals. As a matter of fact it is one of the most recommended snack when one is trying to lose weight.
I’ve never met a nut I didn’t like. I love Almonds, Walnuts, Macadamia Nuts, Peanuts, Cashew Nuts, Hazelnuts, Pecan Nuts and Brazil Nuts. I even love pine nuts because they make Pesto taste awesome!
I am currently contemplating on making a Maple Pecan Pie. I already have all the ingredients on hand except for the star of the show, which is the PECANS. I usually get baking ingredients form this baker’s depot near my house, including the nuts but I recently found out that they closed their store. I’m thinking of getting my pecans from nutsite.com.
Nutsite.com is one of the leading provider of wholesale bulk nuts. When you buy in bulk, you’re guaranteed to get it for a much cheaper price than when buying retail. A pound of pecan costs $9.95. They offer both shelled and in shell nuts. Aside from pecans, they also carry other kinds of nuts such as walnuts, almonds, macadamia and cashew. They also have chocolate-covered nuts, dried fruits and gummy candies.
A pound of nuts maybe too much for one recipe so I decided to search for another delicious dessert with pecans. I found one at the The Food Network….Pumpkin Maple Pecan Cheesecake by Anne Thornton. It has all the elements of fall and it sounds mouthwatering-ly delicious. I bet you would want to make it too, had you seen the photos. How does that sound to you?
I guess I’ve just given you two recipes to look forward to in June….

House plants makes our home feel happier, healthier and alive. If they are in the living room, it makes that area of the house very warm. A lot of people buy expensive house plants because they want to improve their home’s atmosphere but most of the time these plants tend to be high maintenance. It’s very hard to keep them alive.
If you are like me and you don’t have a green thumb, then I suggest you get a pot of Artificial plant or two and distribute them among the different parts of the house. It’s better in terms of maintenance and they won’t cause an allergy among the members of the family specially if you have a baby.
I tried growing an herb garden once but it didn’t work out. I suppose I have black thumbs if there are such things. I so envy my mom who can grow healthy and beautiful flowers. One reason why I love flowers is because they enhance the table specially when we’re celebrating a special occasion. I tried numerous times to plant some flowers. They either wind up dead or not bear flowers at all. Thank God I can always buy Artificial flower. They don’t die and I can enjoy them forever.

I just discovered a new social network which could both work for singles and those who are dating. It can also be the home of your new blog if you are into connecting with people who have the same interest like you do.
Friendsation is a new free online dating website. But unlike other dating sites, Friendsation offers free personals with members from around the world and members could also blog and have buddy list around the site. I think I’d recommend this to my customer here at the shop who is looking to blog in a whole new level.

I think it has become a normal thing in our industrial construction sites to have poor safety practices. Since nothing really bad has happened, everybody became lax and just ignored it. Until one day, these poor safety practices claim the lives of 10 construction workers at the Eton Tower construction site in Makati. It happened a month ago. The unsafe use of the gondola lifts to transport the workers on top of the building was the cause of the demise of 10 people.
But did you know that it is not the only danger that construction workers face everyday? They are also prone to a cancer called Mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a rare cancer caused by Asbestos. Until now, Asbestos is still widely used in the construction industry. A lot of other workers are exposed to Asbestos too. Welder, auto mechanics, insulation workers, plumbers, chemical plant workers and oil refinery workers– they are also in danger of acquiring this disease.
It can take years before any symptom show up but the damage lingers in the body. It is comforting to know that if something like this does happen, you can get mesothelioma attorney assistance. Many victims has already filed lawsuit. You shouldn’t ignore these things.

I’m having and air conditioner installed in our room later this month or early next. Since our bedroom windows are going to be closed most of the time, I’ve considered buying an air purifier as well. Air purifiers are units that cleans the air by drawing the indoor air into itself and filtering out allergens, mildew and other particles thus producing clean air for the people in the room.
But I would have to really consider the air purifier that I’m going to buy. It has to be of good quality and works efficiently in cleaning up the air we breathe like Rabbit Air. Rabbit Air uses High Efficient Particulate Air filters that successfully filters out airborne particles down to 0.3 microns in size, 99.97% of the time.
Do you guys have air filters in your rooms?
