dal ( red lentils )1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder1/2 teaspoon cooking oil ( for boiling
dal )2 cups water2 teaspoon cooking oil ( for frying onions )2 onions, finely chopped1 teaspoon red chilli powder3/4 teaspoon salt ( or to taste )
For
tadka:
1 teaspoon cooking oil1 teaspoon mustard seeds1/2 teaspoon cumin ( jeera ) seeds1 spring curry leaves
