Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think most people associate
ginger with Asian food. Maybe because it’s widely used in Chinese and Indian food? I know it makes frequent appearances in other Asian cuisines, but I wonder if it’s as ubiquitous as people think. I wouldn’t say it’s widely used in the kind of Thai food I grew up eating. When it showed up on the table, it was most often served raw, as an edible garnish or something along those lines. Raw
