Lamingtons as Australian as……. by Gail

  Yes Australia, something we can call our own. Whilst you will see these in New Zealand I doubt they are common anywhere else in the world. Where else but here would we take a cake, cut in half sometimes, put cream in it and then drown it in chocolate icing and then roll it in coconut. We may even use some partially set jelly - usually red and coat the cake in it and then roll in coconut. Sometimes jam is placed in the middle but that apparently is more common in New Zealand than (...)
