Very few things are more old fashioned than bread pudding. The reason I think bread pudding is old fashioned is because the first time I ever had it was with my grandmother and back then I always thought it was something that old people ate, since my mom never made it. My grandmother made it on Sundays in the usual way with eggs and cream and all but she did something different, she grated cheddar cheese on top that got all melty and delicious mixed with the sweetness of the bread pudding.
