Rather than laze around in the sun today, I have been roped into the chain gang that is putting a deck around our pool. We have one of those above ground numbers encased in timber, which is very attractive and relatively inexpensive to install. They come in a choice of sizes and ours is about 8 metres long, so it is ideal for the family. Last night we swam until 9.30 and sipped cool wine topped up with soda water.
