Taste of Pace, formally of Chicks With Knives, has started a new underground supper club. Join her in West Hollywood on Saturday April 11 at 6:30pm in an yet undisclosed location. She will be featuring a variety of delicious SoCal produce from Santa Barbara to Santa Monica and farms in between. This event is BYOW (Bring Your Own Wine). On the menu Green Salad with Spring Peas, California Mandarins, and Salty Date Vinaigrette, Arctic Char with Citrus Sauce, Purple Carrot Ribbons, Crème Fraiche Burgundy Potato Mash, and Strawberry Rhubarb Cornmeal Tart with Sweet Cheese. If you can’t make the dinner, you can join Pace and Baja Expeditions at a culinary retreat in Baja Mexico. Explore the flavors of Baja utilizing only local seasonal ingredients to create mouth-watering meals from simple yet sensational recipes that can easily be recreated back in your home kitchen. The trip starts in La Paz, Baja California Sur, the home to the famous fish taco! Just 15 miles north lies your destination, Isla Espiritu Santo, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Added creature comforts-such as cabin-style tents, cots, sleeping pads and solar-heated showers-make your days and nights in camp effortless and carefree.

Espiritu Santo is home to hundreds of tropical fish species, one third of the world’s marine mammals, and breathtaking vistas! Your guide will introduce you to the natural history of this amazing place through activities like kayaking, snorkeling, and hiking. Pace and Antonio will lead two cooking classes per day with small groups preparing the meals, then presenting them to the group, and enjoying them al fresco. The Eagle Rock Yacht Club, Verdugo Bar and the Humane Society have teamed up to help bring in donations to the overflowing animal shelters in the LA area. They are in desperate need of pet food, blankets and other necessities to help these animals stay healthy until they can be placed in loving homes.

Join them this Sunday, February 22nd (3pm) at the Glassell Park Rec Center for Dodgeball, (come to play, or to watch) donation collection and some good ol’ trash talking.

Following the frivolity, we’ll be nursing our wounds at Verdugo Bar, who will kindly be opening their doors and providing drink specials to participants at 5pm. This Exclusive Eagle Rock Yacht Club Event will have a no-host taco truck. DJ’s will be spinning their dopest jams, and Brian Faini will be shooting your pretty faces.

They feature sustainable, organic food and and use local, farm-raised produce and meats. This month’s supper club, taking place in a undisclosed location in West Hollywood is on Jan 25 at 6:30pm, features a 4 course meal for $48.
