It was Saturday afternoon. Tropical storm Hannah was knocking on my door.The winds were wicked and the sky was almost black.I had already put in a full day at work and was exhausted. I decided to make comfort food for dinner. Fresh red sauce and meatballs. I was stumped when it came to dessert. On the weekend we have Phil’s girls with us. So weekends are dessert time. Looking around my itty bitty kitchen I noticed that there was nothing desert like to be found. In the pantry I did have a few staples that gave me a little hope, but I was short a few ingredients. I braved the pending storm to go to the market and pick up ice cream and chocolate chips. The exact moment that I stepped outside the sky opened up and let loose. (Just my luck!) By the time I returned home from the market I was freezing, soaked to the bone and miserable.
