I had been waiting for many months to actually bake these brownies. Almost since I got to eat what Lak had made for us. I got hold of two bars immediately, in hopes of baking these. But time just flew and these bars had only each other for company, in the cold compartments of the freezer. Well there was this tin of peaches, of course! Not being satisfied, she had to ruffle the devil, Lak again made some more to tease us. And thats it, I had to make it. One Sunday evening found me in great need to baking these, plus the sight of two lone overly ripen , didn’t help much! Just to confirm on the proportion, called up Lak. Well what followed were series of calls and messages between us, because I add too much of butter and the whole thing looked like a big mass of floating in the dish with butter sparkling!

teeth? tooths? What’s the plural of tooth. Whatever it is, we’ve got it. Here’s how my morning unfolded:

[still in bed, talking before we open our eyes]

me: Honey, what are you in the mood for this morning — blueberry muffins? The Tuesdays with Dorie group made apple cheddar scones last week, and they looked really good.

honey: not blueberry muffins. And not apple cheddar scones, either - they wouldn’t satisfy my tooth.

me: me too honey, I have such a terrible tooth.

honey: how about biscuits? how about blueberry biscuits, could you do that?

me: that’s so funny, that’s exactly how people described those apple cheddar scones, like biscuits.

The Daring Bakers hosts truly have us globe trotting without buying a ticket. We have gone French in the past, with Bread and the Opera, and this time we’re doing !
Welcome to this month’s Bakers and my fifth one. Kelly of Sass and Veracity and Ben of What’s Cookin set us to make some pastry this month.
