Bill and the kids and I went to our favorite Asian market recently to stock up on a few things and get ingredients for a couple of meal ideas Bill had been kicking around. Part of the fun of shopping…
were you one of those kids whose mom kept every single art project you ever produced in school? i wasn’t. my best friend in high school, kevin, he was. his mom decorated their home for every season and holiday, and you can bet that there’d be some random kevin or his brother andrew creation on the end tables, or on the walls. it was quite endearing, as well as gag-inducing. me? grandma didn’t
This dish is based on one I had at a work BBQ a few weeks ago. Made by a lovely Thai woman and served cold as a salad, it was my favourite food of the day! I have tried to recreate it here - but I think I am still missing something… if I see her again, I’ll be sure to get a full recipe!
Don’t get me wrong, it was still really tasty… it just wasn’t exactly the same. And I can’t figure out quite what I need to change… But I’m sure I’ll have fun trying to work it out!
Millie and Szintia forwarded a bunch of glass balls to me, that means I have to write one word to each letter of the ABC. These glass balls are rolling around in the Hungarian Foodie World at the moment. I am not going to forward them, but if anyone feels like doing it than feel free to do so.
