It was a lazy Sunday today and did absolutely nothing worth talking about! But I managed to cook up something really yummy for tomorrow’s lunch. I will blog about it soon!!

I really enjoy the occasional meme. Especially on a lazy weekend. They give us a chance to to get to know everyone a little bit better and it lets our personalities shine through a little more. I picked this one up from the Diva over at Beach Eats.

fresh lemons, the best olive oil that I can afford, garlic and Cavenders Greek seasoning
What’s the cooking sound you most love?
The sound of a percolator making coffee. I haven’t used one in over 10 years, but I still love that sound. It’s a sound from my childhood that makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.
What’s your favorite cooking smell?
fresh citrus
What are the qualities you most admire in a dish?
bright flavors and fresh ingredients
What is your most treasured possession in the kitchen?
My Kitchen Aid mixer. I had just gotten out of a really rotten relationship and my Mum gave it to me to cheer me up. It worked!

“we are out of coffee!”
What are afraid to do in the kitchen?
To this day I am still afraid of pastry. I don’t even attempt it.
What won’t you eat?
nothing…I’m game for anything

Peaches. I used to adore them. Now…not so much.

Brussel sprouts. I hated them as a child, love them now.

I would want Alton Brown to make me fried chicken, grits and greens.

Sizzle. I remember all the way back to fourth grade. We had to draw a picture of a sound. I picked sizzle and drew a steak hitting the grill.

Going to the Hong Kong Supermarket and then to Trader Joes

When was the last time you walked into a restaurant for brunch, starving from the long night of drunkorexia, and pined over a list of tasty looking appetizers? Probably never, well, because breakfast is primarily just a single course meal. Sure you may get toast with your eggs, or order a side of bacon with your flapjacks, but breakfast appetizers are about as popular as an egg and bacon soufflé at a taco truck at 2am.
Jar has popovers, Grub has a bowl of dry cereal that’s plopped down at your table before you order, some places offer breakfast scones, but that’s about it.
