Yesterday we painted one side of the house.
We'd expected to put both coats of paint on, because after four hours you can reapply, so we figured if we started nice and early, we'd have plenty of time.
Plus, we had the paint sprayer.
Bill got the sprayer out, I taped off the lower windows and the side door (he had already taped the second floor window). Paint was stirred, sun was shining, humidity was low, and we were READY!
Except that the sprayer wouldn't spray the paint.
I called around to see if there was another tip that would work better, but no. Not really. Not for the type of sprayer we have. Our sprayer isn't meant for heavy duty exterior latex paint.
So yesterday, annoyed but determined, we said, in effect, "we don't need no stinkin' paint sprayer!" and proceeded to paint the whole side of the house with brushes.
It took somewhere between 5 and 6 hours. We got one coat done.
Bill's legs and back were killing him from doing all this way up on the ladder and trying not to fall off and crash on the driveway.
This morning, very early, Bill announced "We're buying a better paint sprayer."
And that's the news.
Oh, and this month's banner? Sort of a before and after view from one corner of our house. Still a LOT to do. But with a new sprayer, at least some of won't take as long.
A company collecting royalties on behalf of Hollywood studios has illegally demanded payments from kindergartens in Ireland. The MPLC requested 10 Euros (.00) per child per annum, so that they can watch DVDs legally. However, by doing so they breached the 2000 Copyright Act since MPLC failed to register with the Patent Office.
