September 22nd, 2008Falooda, is a milk based popular dessert in India. Falooda not only refreshes the eyes but also tantalize the taste buds. Basil seeds make this drink more healthier. Thinking of making it are you waiting for? Hmmm recipe right. Here comes the much famous and popular falooda recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tbsp Falooda seeds (sabza/ tukmaria/ basil seeds)
- 2 tbsp Rose syrup
- 3/4 cup chilled Milk
- 2 tbsp Falooda sev, arrowroot vermicelli
- 2 tbsp Strawberry-flavored jello, crushed coarsely
- 1 tbsp Almonds, roasted and chopped
- a scoop of strawberry ice cream

We first met Francesco Lafranconi at the 2007 Tampa Bay Food and Wine Fest. There he was, in white linen pants and a pink pinstriped tailored shirt, sleeves rolled up, quarantined to an oak barrel just a stones throw from the painted naked lady. He was mixing a heavenly concoction of Dom Perignon, rose nectar, and fresh blueberries. Sweat poured from his European brow caused by the Florida humidity.
