Rice Kheer (
Pressure cooker method )
Serves: 8 dessert cups
Ingredients
1/3 cup ( 80 ml / 3 oz ) basmati
rice / silky raw rice1/2 cup (100 ml / 4 oz ) sugar1/2 litre ( 500 ml ) milk ( do not dilute with water )Extra 100 ml boiled milk2 pinches cardamom powder1 tablespoon ghee1 teaspoon cashew nuts, split1 teaspoon raisins
Method
Wash and soak
rice in 1/2 cup water for half an hour. Drain out water.
Boil milk ( do not dilute with water ) and keep aside.
