My first year of college, I had three southern roommates.  Let me say — it was a culture shock.  Unfortunately, having grown up in Connecticut, I was completely ignorant of a number of southern staples.  Garth Brooks, sweet tea, and cowboy boots, among others.  At some point freshman year, my sorority had a Dukes of Hazard party, and I had to ask what to wear — that was actually quite embarrassing.
