Growing up in the burbs of Texas, there wasn’t a ton of Greek cuisine available to me. I can only remember one experience with authentically Greek food in my childhood: when I was 6, my dad brought home some dolmas, and I was horrified. (”It’s wrapped in a leaf?!?! Blechhhhh!! No thank you, sir!!”) (I was a really picky eater back in the day.)
