 I had a craving for something sweet.  So I pulled out the recipe for Texas Cookies.  I’ve been making these cookies for over 20 years, but hadn’t made them recently.  The recipe comes from Lee Bailey’s Good Parties Cookbook. Baked on a small cookie sheet or jelly roll pan and then cut into squares, these cookies are bites of buttery, brown sugar deliciousness. The original recipe does not contain chocolate chips and the nut is suppose to be pecan.  (...)
