I have to admit, I wasn’t too excited about this recipe. Plums? In a
cake? I happen to love plums - especially Italian Prune Plums in the fall - but as with most fruit, I prefer eating them out-of-hand. 95% of the time, if you presented me with a baked good with fruit in it, or that fruit in its fresh form, I would choose the fresh fruit. But I decided to try this out, with plums as in the original recipe and to keep my mind open to it!
