It’s summer, we’ve been swimming in blueberries, and it’s hot. Yay for Dolores, choosing blueberry sour cream ice cream for this week’s Tuesdays with Dorie recipe (p434)! Great timing, Dolores. Lots of group members are getting tired of fruit recipes, but I’m not one of them. I love fruit, and while I’ve never had blueberry ice cream before, it sounded great.
It was the simplest possible recipe - lightly boil the berries, whir them in the blender and add the dairy ingredients, chill, and freeze. Sour cream was another new addition for me, and there had been a lot of discussion among group members about cutting back on this …
